Lead and Copper Rule Survey
Our public water system is focused on protecting the health of every household in our community. With this in mind, the City of Worland is requesting your assistance with creating a water line material inventory. This inventory is part of the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions from the Environmental Protection Agency.
If you have received a notice requesting verification of your water service pipe, please read the survey, complete the questions and return to the City of Worland.
The City of Worland Water Department greatly appreciates any and all help in creating this inventory. A completed service line material inventory will be available to the public on the City of Worland web site. We will not publish any private information on this inventory. Please call the City Water Department at 307-347-8978 (option 1) if you have any questions or to schedule a visit to determine service line material.
Water Service Line Material: Identifying your service line material can be challenging. Sometimes there are building records with the house that identify the pipe material. Sometimes records are lost and physical inspection of the service line is necessary. You will need to locate where your service line enters your house. This may be in a basement, crawlspace or under the skirting of a trailer. Most times the service line enters the house near the water heater. Below is a guide to identifying pipe material.
